Lord of DreamsYoshitaka Amano Amano’s art has always been hauntingly beautiful to me.  The stringiness reminds me a bit of the art in “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” and I love the colors he chooses.  The subjects seem mysterious, even when it’s a picture of characters I know.   This picture is actually of the character Dream from Neil Gaiman’s Sandman.  Apparently, Amano and Gaiman worked together on a project called “Return of the Thin White Duke”.  The inspiration for the main characters?  David Bowie and his wife.
