Stefan Sagmeister’s Ted Talk on “what he has learned”
This guy is one of my favorite graphic designers. Such a large part of his philosophy is learning to be happy and that really resonates with me. I’ll most likely post more of his ideas and talks in the future. Enjoy.
This is awesome and if I were a kid it would be absolute torture if you showed me this and told me I couldn’t run and play in it.

8-Bit Starry Night by Brother Brain.
Prints available at RedBubble.
This is the first in a series of pieces in which I recreate classic images in an 8-bit style by combining graphical elements from retro video games! In this work I utilized materials from Castlevania and Zelda games to re-imagine The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh.

Future house idea: Collect Starry Night paintings or prints done in various styles by different artists.
Anger Release Machine by Ronnie Yarisal and Katja Kublitz
A vending machine that contains crystal glasses, plates, porcelain, statuettes, and various other breakables. Great idea for those stressful days, but how much to just tip the whole goddamn thing over or throw it out a hotel window?

Extremely clever.
Galbadia Garden Entrance
Final Fantasy Architecture (aka Fantitecture) is one of my new favorite tumblogs. They post art and screenshots of buildings and areas in the Final Fantasy games.
Mega Man X takes on the role of a valiant Halo hero in deviantART member Darioid’s excellent new mash up. It’s time to blast some covenant scum.
“What if Mega Man X was in the Halo Universe!?”
Cutman’s shadow in the back is the icing on the cake.
I would love to see a city where all the buildings and streets were open for artists to do whatever.
Final Fantasy XI Transworld Project
Arashi, a linkshell from Final Fantasy XI, has on their website a series of images they call the “Final Fantasy XI Transworld Project.” The purpose of the project is to take characters and creatures from FFXI and photoshop them into real photographs. Some are definitely better than others. I really like the idea of merging the real world and this made up universe together. Perhaps it will be something I try in the future.
